How does the Canada Job Grant Work?
The Canada Job Grant provides direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees.
This Includes:
- The Government providing up to 2/3 of the total cost, with a maximum of $10,000 per person for training costs.
- Employers must contribute 1/3 of the total costs with some additional flexibility for small businesses to provide in-kind contributions.
- The training agreement cannot exceed one year in duration. Training can start any time throughout the year.
- Employers are required to complete an application and submit it on-line in order for funding to be considered.
